BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Ohio State Highway Patrol conducted an OVI checkpoint on County Road 330 west of U.S. 30 and east of Stetzer Road in Crawford County on Saturday, August 16, 2025. During and after the checkpoint, troopers also conducted an OVI saturation patrol in the area.
The OVI checkpoint and saturation patrol, funded by federal grant funds, were planned to deter and intercept impaired drivers.
During the checkpoint, 352 vehicles were checked by troopers. As a result of the checkpoint and saturation patrol efforts, three OVI arrest was made.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol would like to remind everyone, if you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink. Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired.
