BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—A routine traffic stop on March 3, 2025, turned into a significant drug bust for local authorities in Bucyrus. At approximately 9:13 PM, officers pulled over a vehicle on Woodlawn Avenue near Wiley Street, driven by 53-year-old Lisa Beachy of Bucyrus.

During the stop, officers discovered about 1 gram of suspected methamphetamine in Beachy’s possession. Further investigation revealed that additional methamphetamine was located at her residence on Hopley Avenue.

Officers promptly responded to her home, where they seized the remaining methamphetamine and drug-related paraphernalia. In total, approximately 21 grams of suspected methamphetamine was confiscated.

Beachy was taken into custody and transported to the Crawford County Justice Center, where she is being held pending court proceedings. Due to the proximity of her residence to Bucyrus Elementary School, authorities have requested charges with aggravating circumstances, including:

  • Trafficking in drugs (Felony 2)
  • Possession of drugs (Felony 2)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia (Misdemeanor 4)

The case has been referred to the Crawford County Prosecutor’s Office for further evaluation of charges.
