BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Zachariah Zacharzuk, a 30-year-old resident of Galion, pleaded guilty to drug trafficking and possession charges in the Crawford County Common Pleas Court on Wednesday. The charges, both 2nd-degree felonies, were brought against Zacharzuk following a narcotics investigation conducted by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office Detectives and METRICH on June 4th at 328 Third Ave in Galion.

During the investigation, law enforcement officials seized over half a pound of methamphetamines, fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and a significant amount of currency. As a result, Zacharzuk was charged with the felonies.

Judge Sean Leuthold sentenced Zacharzuk to 10-12.5 years in prison for his crimes. The defendant will receive credit for time served. Zacharzuk was represented by court-appointed attorney Andrew Motter.

The successful conclusion of this investigation highlights the ongoing efforts of law enforcement agencies to combat drug trafficking and possession in Crawford County. The sentencing of Zacharzuk serves as a reminder of the serious consequences that individuals face when engaging in illegal drug activities.
