GALION, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—On Tuesday evening, the Northmor Board of Education held its April meeting. 

 

The district earned the “District of Momentum” award from the state of Ohio. Northmor was one of forty-two districts to earn it, and according to education.ohio.gov, “Districts and buildings that have improved their performance index by 3 or more points from 2021-2022 report card to the 2022-2023 report card AND received a value-added progress rating of 4 or more stars,” are the ones eligible to receive it. 

 

Amanda Albert, Northmor’s Director of Curriculum, shared that the district’s composite ACT score was 18.9, with ninety-two students having taken the test. 

 

Ella Creswell, with a 35, and Maya Trainer, with a 30, were the district’s two highest scorers. The highest possible ACT score is 36. 

 

Five students will be receiving awards at MOESC for their artwork.

 

As of right now, approximately fifty students in this year’s sophomore class have been accepted to and will attend Pioneer Career and Technology Center during the 2024-2025 school year. That class has around eighty students in it. 

 

There are approximately seventy-four seniors who are on track for graduation this year.
