NORTH ROBINSON, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW) —Campus upgrades across Colonel Crawford Local Schools continue this summer as the district moves through major facility projects, safety improvements, and routine maintenance ahead of the 2026‑27 school year.
Campus improvements are underway, including the roofing project wrapping up; phase two of the HVAC project, which covers the PreK‑3 wing and administrative offices; turf installation in the infields of the baseball and softball fields; repainting of the Ted Bruner Gymnasium; new concrete and a new fence outside the ag and industrial arts shops to better ensure student safety; power washing of the building; and parking lot and driveway work completed by Paulin Sealcoating.
Due to House Bill 186 and the inflation cap credit, Treasurer David Sheldon reported that the district lost $745,100 in property‑tax revenue this year, dropping from $2.1 million to $1.47 million.
The board approved increasing the micro‑purchase threshold for food services to $50,000 to streamline federal‑fund procurement for items such as cafeteria food supplies.
Superintendent Mike Voll launched the Colonel Crawford Conversations podcast in June, featuring guests from within the district who share their stories. Episodes are released on the 20th of each month.
The board approved 2026‑27 N10 athletic ticket prices, with varsity events set at $8 for adults and $7 for students. Junior varsity, freshman, and junior high events will be $6 for adults and $5 for students.
Athletic passes for the district are priced at $400 for family passes, $275 for parent passes, $175 for individual passes, and $125 for student passes.
The board approved Stephen Knapp and Lynn Sterling as part‑time SROs for the 2026‑27 school year. Knapp will work from 7–11 a.m., and Sterling will work from 11 a.m.–4 p.m.
Open house is Aug. 18 from 6–7 p.m., and the first day of school is Aug. 19.
The next board meeting is Aug. 24 at 7 p.m., with a facilities tour at 6:15 p.m.
