COLUMBUS—Joe Rager, a recent graduate of Bucyrus High School, has been named the recipient of the 2023 Rumpke Waste & Recycling Scholarship for Crawford County. This prestigious scholarship, valued at $1,000.00, is awarded annually to a deserving graduate from Crawford County who intends to pursue a two or four-year degree at an accredited institution, including vocational/trade schools.
The Rumpke Waste & Recycling Scholarship is granted to individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to their academics, environmental stewardship, and community service. Joe Rager, with his exceptional achievements, stood out among the applicants. He has set his sights on Bowling Green State University, where he plans to pursue a degree in Business and Accounting.
Joe’s long-term goals include becoming a Certified Public Accountant and later transitioning into the financial planning sector. His dedication to academics is evident through his membership in the esteemed National Honor Society. Moreover, Joe’s commitment to sports is also commendable, he participated in cross country, football, basketball, and track. He believes that the skills he has acquired from being an athlete will greatly contribute to his success in achieving his goals.
