An additional special meeting of the Galion City Council has been scheduled for today, July 30, at 6:30 p.m.
Council will be putting three pieces of legislation through their third readings. The legislation includes amending an ordinance establishing compensation for elected executive officials, amending an ordinance establishing salaries for Council members, and amending permanent 2013 appropriations.
The Council met in special session Monday for the second readings of the same pieces of legislation. A motion had been made to amend the legislation for executive officials to reflect raises for the mayor and auditor. That motion to amend the legislation had passed with a vote of four to two. The final vote will be put before Council tonight.
The other two pieces of legislation passed on their second reading.
