BUCYRUS—Senior citizens ages 55 and older are invited to have some Halloween fun with the Crawford County Council on Aging in October.

At 1 p.m. Oct. 3, seniors may decorate a Halloween shirt. Participants should bring a dark-colored shirt that has a high cotton percentage.

On Oct. 5, seniors can make paper Halloween treat boxes and fill them with candy. Donations are appreciated.

The Council on Aging will have its 2nd Annual Trick-or-Treat Resource Fair from 2 to 4 p.m. Oct. 6. The event features informational booths, door prizes, and a free meal for seniors 60+ provided by Pathways Hospice. Seniors will vote on the best decorated booth, which will be featured in the Council on Aging’s monthly newsletter “Senior Tidings.”

Seniors may paint pumpkins from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 11. Class fee is $4, members pay just $2. This class has limited registration.

Monster Mash Halloween Party will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 27, sponsored by Kingston Residence of Marion. Limited to the first 40 pre-registered seniors, the party features a free meal, costume contest with prizes, and karaoke.

On Halloween, Oct. 31, seniors may come to play board games and cards and enjoy free treats from 12:30 to 3 p.m.

Other activities this month include fitness classes at 10 a.m. Mondays and Fridays (no class Oct. 14), Hot dog bar and bingo at 1 p.m. Oct. 20, new 2022 movies shown each Friday at 1 p.m. (no film Oct. 14), and bingo in Crestline at 2 p.m. Oct. 25.

A group of card players meet after lunch, around 12:30 p.m., Fridays to play euchre in the lobby. More card players are wanted.
