BUCYRUS — On July 14, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office along with METRICH executed a narcotic search warrant at 624 S. Walnut St. in Bucyrus.

The search warrant came at the conclusion of a several month-long investigation into illegal narcotics being used and sold from the property.

The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Bucyrus Police Department and the Crawford County Special Deputies Unit.

The Crawford County Special Deputy Unit is composed of individuals, who are engaged in other full-time occupations, but wish to contribute their service to their community.Arrested were Matthew Sharp, 35, John E. Taylor, 33, Char-Lynn Leonhart, 19, and Amber N. Walker, 34. Sharp and Taylor were the targets of the investigation.Deputies seized suspected methamphetamines, fentanyl, fake currency, prescription medication, firearms, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.Sharp had active warrants out of the Sheriff’s Office for aggravated trafficking in methamphetamines.Taylor was arrested for a felony probation violation and has pending charges for aggravated trafficking in methamphetamines.Leonhart has pending charges for permitting drug abuse.All four of the individuals are currently incarcerated at the Crawford County Justice Center and reports will be forwarded to the Crawford County Prosecutors Office for consideration of additional charges.This case is still being investigated by the detectives from the Sheriff’s Office.Sheriff Scott Kent and Lt.
