BUCYRUS—David Easterday, 34, of Marion, pleaded guilty to violating the terms and conditions of his community control in the Crawford County Common Pleas Court on Monday.
Easterday was sentenced to 36 months in prison in 2019 after pleading guilty to tampering with evidence and receiving stolen property. He was granted a judicial release in January and placed on community control.
According to probation officer Jeremy Clay, Easterday violated probation when he was arrested in Marion County. He failed to appear for office visits in Marion that resulted in his arrest, and he tested positive for drugs.
Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold ordered Easterday to return to prison for the remainder of his prison sentence. He will receive jail time credit.
In other court news, Daniel Thomas, 36, of Bucyrus, pleaded guilty to improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony punishable with up to 18 months in prison.
In an agreed plea negotiation, Judge Leuthold sentenced Thomas to five years of community control.
Trevor King, 21, of Mansfield, was arraigned on one count of possession of drugs(marijuana more than 1000 grams), a felony of the third degree punishable with up to 36 months in prison.
King was granted a personal recognizance bond, and Judge Leuthold ordered the matter set for a pretrial.
Brittany Ross, 29, of Bucyrus, was arraigned on one count of burglary, a felony of the fourth degree punishable with up to 18 months in prison.
Judge Leuthold entered a not guilty plea on Ross’ behalf. He appointed attorney Bailey Higgins to represent her. She was given a personal recognizance bond. Judge Leuthold ordered the matter set for a pretrial.
