Major music producer Sax Buttons is looking for the next female recording star and he’s hoping to find her right here.

“My goal, of course, was to create a complete professional major artistry development laboratory where a major new star can be created for the major music industry and, of course, worldwide distribution for the Starcraft Records imprint,” Buttons. “Right now (Starcraft) is currently looking for girl singers who want a professional career in music.”

Buttons is looking specifically for performers in the musical genres` of blues, jazz or pop. He has over 40 years of experience in the professional music industry as a song writer, lyricist, sound engineer, music arranger. He masters all of his work.

Buttons actually came to Bucyrus at the invitation of Jim Cox who at the time was with the Crawford County Education and Economic Development Partnership. Already a member of the Bucyrus Area Chamber of Commerce, Buttons has set up a fully equipped sound laboratory at 123 N. Sandusky Avenue.

Buttons is involved with another local performer, Dave Miller, on a flute album project, but emphasized his interest was in locating a female performer who would be trained to be a professional in every sense.

“The vocal candidates would be taught professional singing and vocal stylization and would be stylized around professional music and hit song writing as well as taught stage presentation and choreography,” Buttons said.

The Sound Laboratory of Starcraft International Records in Bucyrus has state of the art sound equipment, a vocal booth and a stage with stage lighting. Buttons works only with major music producers and professional lyricists. The VIR Music Group owns Midway Oz Music Publishing and its catalog of songs are cataloged with BMI in New York.
