BUCYRUS — A North Robinson man appeared in Crawford County Common Pleas Court for sentencing on Wednesday after he pleaded guilty to three counts of child endangerment, each a third-degree felony and each punishable with up to 36 months in prison.

Daniel Dillow, 42, was free on bond until the completion of a pre-sentence investigation.

“There are no surprises in the PSI. Mr. Dillow does not have a good record but there is nothing that says I couldn’t follow the recommended sentence in this case,” Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold said.

Dillow was sentenced to 24 months each on two counts of child endangerment and nine months on one count of child endangerment for a total of 57 months in prison.

Leuthold told Dillow that he must report to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office by 7 p.m. on Monday, January 20. He is to have no contact with the victims, his children. Leuthold did say that while in prison, Dillow could correspond with his children. He will receive 32 days of jail time credit.

“No attempts to contact these kids between now and Monday. If you don’t show up, you will serve every single day with no possibility of release at a later date,” Leuthold said.

In other court action, William Crowden, 26, of Bucyrus was sentenced to five years of community control after he pleaded guilty to two counts of possession of drugs, each a fifth-degree felony and each punishable with up to 12 months in prison.

Crowden was ordered to complete a drug and alcohol assessment and any follow-up treatment recommended. He will forfeit any drug-related property to the Galion Police Department.
