BUCYRUS―Bucyrus Police investigated a traffic crash early Friday morning that sent one motorist to the hospital with minor injuries.

At 5:41 a.m., officers were called to the area of South Sandusky Avenue and East Oakwood Avenue for a crash involving a Ford Truck and Saturn car. EMS personnel assisted at the scene and took one person to Bucyrus Community Hospital for treatment of minor injuries sustained in the crash.

Officers issued a citation to one of the drivers involved in the crash.

8:18 a.m.-Officers assisted a motorist who was going the wrong way on North Sandusky Avenue.

8:32 a.m.-A person came to the station to speak with an officer regarding feeling threatened.

9:52 a.m.-A motorist was issued a citation for a temporary permit violation in the area of Plymouth and Maple Streets.

10:05 a.m.-Officers assisted the Columbus Police Department by delivering a message in the 600 block of East Rensselaer Street.

10:10 a.m.-An abandoned motor scooter was towed from the area of East Lucas and Jones Streets.

10:36 a.m.-Officers towed an abandoned vehicle from the 900 block of Prospect Street.

10:42 a.m.-Officers spoke with a person at the station regarding possible drug activity.

11:03 a.m.-Prospect Street residents were warned reference allowing their dog to continually bark.

12:05 p.m.-Officers investigated a possible overdose complaint in the area of East Beal Avenue. An individual that had borrowed a car from the area returned the car but had passed out in the vehicle. The person eventually left the area on foot and left behind drug paraphernalia in the car. The involved person was located in the area of WalMart and questioned about the incident.

2:59 p.m.- A traffic complaint was investigated on Blicke Street.

3:28 p.m.- A shoplifting complaint is under investigation at Family Dollar. A male wearing a grey hoodie with a pink and black backpack had left the area without paying for merchandise.

3:59 p.m.-A fraud report was at the police department.

4:01 p.m.- An abandoned bike was picked in the area of Waterford Glen.

5:21 p.m.- A parking complaint was investigated in the 900 block of Hull Avenue.

6:08  p.m.-A verbal warning for an equipment violation was issued in the area of North Sandusky Avenue and Mary Street.

6:36  p.m.-A minor traffic accident was investigated in the 800 block of Wingert Street.

6:59  p.m.-Four Income tax summons were served in the 500 block of South Sandusky Avenue.

8:54  p.m.-Officers assisted the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic stop in the area of East Charles and South Lane Streets.

9:08  p.m.-Officers spoke with a person at the station about a possible theft.

10:25 p.m.-A possible traffic hazard of glass in the roadway at West Mansfield Street was unfounded.

11:00 p.m.-A homeless resident was offered assistance.

11:07 p.m.-Officer found a car door open near South Spring and Charles Streets and it did not appear anyone had trespassed, that the door was just left unsecured and it was secured.
