CRESTLINE — After a brief inquiry into contracts between the Village of Crestline and the American Red Cross, Crestline Village Council will revisit a lease with the organization.

During council’s meeting Nov. 4, council members voted in a 4-1 decision to not extend a lease agreement with the American Red Cross at 102 N. Thoman St. The Red Cross has office space in the building along with the Golden Age Center.

After the meeting, it was discovered incorrect information was presented to council before the vote. The information given was from a past contract instead of the most current.

Council was told the American Red Cross pays approximately $130 per month to use the building and charges $50-$100 to rent space in the building, however, the current contract says the Red Cross $2,640 per year or $220 per month. Crestline Village Administrator John Rostash also confirmed the Red Cross does not rent space in the building as only the village as the lessor.

Rostash said council will revisit the agreement with the correct information during its meeting Nov. 18 at 6:30 p.m.
