The Galion Graders grabbed win number 10 on the season as they defeated the Northern Ohio Baseball Club by a final of 6-5 on Wednesday night at Heise Park. The win is the Graders’ third straight and improves their record 10-16 in their inaugural season.
Trent Downs got the victory for the Graders as he went five complete innings, allowing just two runs on five hits while striking out five. Ben Hamilton was credited the save going an inning-and-a-third with a strikeout.
The Grader offense was driven by Nick Riotto and Hunter Clanin who both were 2-for-4 with a run scored.
The Graders now go on the road for a two-game series with the Hamilton Joes starting Thursday night. First pitch will be at 7:05 from Foundation Field.
