BUCYRUS (Crawford County Now) — Bucyrus tennis dropped its home opener to Tiffin Calvert on Monday, 3-2.
The Lady Red swept both doubles matches. Savannah Clark and Addie Weber downed Mady Eborg and Victoria Juarez, 6-2, 6-1 in first doubles. Mya Rothhaar and Maci Messerschmidt got past Baylee Prenzlin and Lara Tobin, 6-3, 7-6 (8-6) in second doubles.
The match swung on the singles matches with all three going to Calvert.
Lily Engelhorn fell to Sydney Michaels, 1-6, 2-6, in first singles. Meelah Marshall went down, 0-6, 2-6, in second singles. Calvert’s Reegan Clark won third singles via forfeit.
Bucyrus (0-2) returns to action Wednesday, hosting Sandusky Perkins.
