MANSFIELD (Crawford County Now) — Bucyrus distance ace Karter Boggs took first in the 1600 meters with a season best of 4:29.36 in the 94th Mansfield Mehock Relays Saturday afternoon at Malabar Middle School.

Boggs placed fourth in the 800 meters in 2:06.07, a personal best effort.

The Redmen finished sixth. Colonel Crawford placed 10th, Galion 13th and Crestline 16th in boys.

Fremont Ross won both boys and girls. Nineteen schools participated.

Ivan Pirnstill placed second in the pole vault at 14 feet, a personal best.

Da’Shawn Cosey took fourth in the 400 meters with a personal best 53.07.

A.J. Griffin ran the 3200 in 10:58.15, good for seventh place. Ella Green was seventh in the girls 800 with a PB 2:38.53.

Galion’s Jacob Chambers was second in the boys long jump with a season-best 21 feet, 9.5 inches.

The girls 4X800 relay got third clocking in at 10:43.03. The team members are Makayla Halbisen, Makenzie Halbisen, Alayna Griffith and Katelyn Carr.

The boys 4X400 relay of Camden Kuehlman, Blake Chelski, Samuel Evans and Zachary Early ran a 3:39.81.

Colonel Crawford senior Shawn Auck recorded a time of 10:13.57 for third place in the boys 3200 meters.

The Eagles 4X200 relay of Avery Powers, Roen Thew, John DeGray and Jacob Cochran ran third in 1:32.52.

Thew was fifth in the 110-meter hurdles in a PB of 15.63.

Freshman Cami Roston took fourth in the girls pole vault at 9-feet. Brynn Bruner got fifth in the 1600 in 5:40.95, a personal best.

Crestline’s Colten Keller was third in the boys 800 meters in 2:04.09, a season best.
