BUCYRUS — Heather Grasley of Bucyrus appeared in Crawford County Common Pleas Court on Monday where she admitted to violating the terms and conditions of her community control.
Grasley, 33, was sentenced to 57 months in prison in 2017 after she pleaded guilty to engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, possession of drugs, trafficking in drugs and tampering with evidence. She was granted judicial release in November 2018.
According to allegations, Grasley was charged with driving while intoxicated. She failed to report the police contact. Beginning in December, she also failed to report a change of address to her supervising officer and tested positive for fentanyl and THC, both of which she admitted to consuming.
Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold imposed the remaining 47months of Grasley’s prison term. She will receive credit for jail time, prison time and time served in a community-based correctional facility.
In other court action, Brian Bailey, 41, of Tiffin admitted to violating the terms and conditions of his community control.
In September 2017, Bailey was sentenced to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Because of multiple convictions, this charge was a fourth-degree felony punishable with up to 18 months in prison. Bailey was issued a Class 2 lifetime driver’s license suspension. He was granted judicial release in December 2017.
According to allegations, Bailey left Ohio without permission from his supervising officer, changed addresses without permission and failed to report for office visits.
Leuthold was visibly frustrated with Bailey’s attitude.
“Sit up straight and answer me with a ‘yes sir,’” Leuthold said. “I was feeling bad about sending you back to prison but now I don’t feel so bad.”
Leuthold imposed the remainder of Bailey’s sentence but said he would not oppose transitional control if the prison requested it.
