Alan Dyer, 28, of Bucyrus had his community control revoked and was sentenced to 12 months in prison. Dyer appeared in Crawford County Common Pleas Court before Judge Sean Leuthold.

Dyer had been placed on community control after pleading guilty to two second-degree felony robberies. He was on judicial release when he was charged with a fifth-degree felony drug possession charge and a misdemeanor charge for possession of drug abuse instruments.

“When you’re out doing drugs, this is what’s going to happen; you’re going to prison,” Leuthold said.

Dyer will receive credit for jail time served.

James Schenk Jr., 26, of Crestline also was sentenced to 12 months in prison for drug possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. He appeared in court with his attorney Sebastian Berger.

Noting that drug related crime is down around 50 percent in Crawford County, Leuthold asked the defendant if he’d been paying attention to what happens to drug users in this county.

Schenk noted that he knew it ends one of two ways in Crawford County.

“You go to jail or you die,” he said.

Leuthold warned Schenk that if he receives an early release he will be under the strict supervision of the court.

“Get your head out of your butt and straighten your life out,” Leuthold said. “I don’t tolerate breaking the rules or testing dirty. I will send you right back to prison.”

Schenk will forfeit all drug-related property to the Crestline Police Department.
