A man now is in the custody of Seneca County Jail after being arrested by the Ohio State Highway Patrol the morning of Friday, Oct. 20, according to the OSHP.

The man was the target of a search by the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday night after he escaped the custody of Crosswaeh Community Based Correctional Facility in Tiffin.

According to OSHP Sgt. Felix Rosario, a passerby saw the man walking on Ohio 100 on Friday morning and reported it to the patrol.

Troopers then approached the man on the side of the road and he confirmed his identity. He then turned himself over to the troopers without incident and was transported to jail.

His identity was not released.
