BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford Soil and Water Conservation District (SWCD) has finalized its late-summer programming, featuring interactive exhibits at the Crawford County Fair, an August agricultural workshop, and its 81st annual meeting.

At the Crawford County Fair, running July 20–25, the district will host an educational booth in the Old Merchants Building and a new live pollinator display near the Young Riders 4-H horse barn on the midway. Both exhibits will focus on native pollinator plants and residential stormwater conservation.

On Thursday, August 6, the agency will partner with the Wyandot SWCD for a free pasture walk at the Fankhauser Farm in Upper Sandusky from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The event features Ohio State livestock movement expert John Yost demonstrating safe animal handling alongside grazing and drought management strategies from the Ohio Department of Agriculture.

The summer lineup concludes Wednesday, August 26, with the district’s 81st annual meeting at the Pickwick Place. The evening includes a catered dinner and a presentation by Ohio State meteorologist and former storm chaser Dr. Jana Hauser regarding shifting tornado patterns and severe weather in Ohio.
