MOUNT GILEAD—The Village spring clean-up days will be on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. April 21-23. They will have a similar set-up as last year.
Residents can place trash bags and small items on the curb free of charge. Large items can be placed on the curb and will be charged the same fee schedule as the year-round fees. Year-round fees: Chairs $5, loveseat $10, sofa $15, mattress $15, box spring $15, hide-a-bed sofa $25.
A completely free option is to bring any small or large items to the Village Pool parking lot on those days between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., where Village crews will be stationed to assist in unloading and placing them in dumpsters. Residents need to bring an I.D. with a village address or a village utility bill as proof of residency.
Last year the village filled seven dumpsters full with this method.
They can’t accept take chemicals, paints, tires, yard waste, or appliances. If you have any questions, call the Mount Gilead Village office at 419-946-4861.
