MARION— Several sources have confirmed that a Marion City School Bus driver has been charged with possession of child pornography.
According to reports, police confiscated the driver’s phone and electronic devices.
The driver is a long-time and beloved bus driver in the Marion City School system. He is primarily responsible for the transport on the handicap-accessible bus.
Crawford County Now obtained this statement from the Marion City School System:
“We have been made aware that a bus driver for Marion City Schools has been charged with possession of child pornography. We are still learning the details of this incident and the investigation is ongoing. We will fully cooperate with law enforcement. Our student’s safety and wellbeing are our utmost priority.”
According to sources, the driver was not taken into custody at this time for medical reasons.
