MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Mansfield Shakespeare Company has announced its upcoming summer production of William Shakespeare’s classic tragedy, “Hamlet,” with three free performances scheduled for next weekend at South Park.
The annual Shakespeare in the Park event will open on Friday, June 19, at 7:30 p.m., followed by a Saturday, June 20 performance at 7:30 p.m., and a weekend finale on Sunday, June 21, at 3:30 p.m.
Organizers noted that while the performances are free and open to the general public, parental discretion is advised due to the mature themes, violence, and depictions of death inherent to the play.
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics to the park. A food truck will be available on-site, and portable restroom facilities will be provided nearby.
The 2026 summer production is supported in part by public funding from the Ohio Arts Council (OAC). The state agency provides grants to bolster quality arts experiences, driving cultural, educational, and economic growth across Ohio communities.
