BUCYRUS—Joshua Kreais, 35, of Fostoria, appeared in Crawford County Common Pleas Court for a change of plea hearing.
Kreais pleaded guilty to one count of DUI, a fourth-degree felony punishable with up to 30 months in prison.

Before accepting the agreed plea negotiation, Crawford County Common Pleas Court Judge Sean Leuthold heard from Kreais’ defense attorney Adam Stone.

Stone told the court his client understands he has a drinking problem. Stone reported his client went into treatment immediately after the charge and was in active outpatient treatment. He told the court his client looked forward to putting the incident behind him. He said his client has maintained employment and is determined to return to being a productive member of society.

Judge Leuthold sentenced Kreais to 18 months in prison with a possible judicial release after serving 90 days in prison.

Kreais will have a five-year driver’s license suspension and must forfeit his license plates. Upon his request, Kreais was given until 7 pm Thursday to report to the Crawford County Jail for transport to prison.

In other court news, a warrant for the arrest of Autumn Young, 23, of Bucyrus, was issued by Judge Leuthold.

Young is charged with one count of drug possession, a fifth-degree felony punishable with up to 12 months in prison. Young, who is represented by attorney Tani Eyer has received continuances on her case. She was scheduled to be in court on Monday but did not appear.

Eyer told the court she had contact with Young and she would be in court on Thursday. Again she failed to appear. Eyer told the court her calls were unanswered and that Young’s voicemail was not set up, making it impossible to leave a message.

“I’m not going to keep doing this, hearing after hearing. ” Leuthold said. He ordered a warrant for her arrest with bond revoked.
