CRESTLINE, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Link’s Country Meats will once again welcome the community for its annual Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday, May 30, continuing a tradition centered around family, appreciation, and community support.
The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Link’s Country Meats, located at 7252 Leesville Road in Crestline. Store hours that day will be 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Guests attending the event can enjoy in-store discounts, raffle drawings, complimentary product tastings, and a free sandwich and drink. Around 18 different sausage varieties will be available for sampling, giving visitors the opportunity to try some of the more than 30 sausage varieties produced by the business.
Wagner Farm Pork Concessions, longtime customers of Link’s Country Meats, will once again handle the cooking for the event. Guests are encouraged to relax under the tent, enjoy lunch, and spend time visiting with family, friends, and members of the community.

Special-priced meat bundles will also be available through pre-order only and can be ordered online, by phone, or by stopping into the store ahead of the event.
The annual tradition began in 2003 after Mike and Janice Link took over the family business in the late 1990s. After experiencing overwhelming support from the community, the family wanted to create a way to give back and simply say thank you to the customers who helped the business grow.
That appreciation is deeply connected to the history of the business itself. Link’s Country Meats traces its roots back to the early 1950s when Mike’s father, Francis Link, began processing meat from a small butcher shop located on the family farm. In 1971, Francis designed and built what is now the core structure of the business, where Mike first learned the meat industry hands-on.
Over the years, the business has continued to grow while maintaining a strong connection to local agriculture, family values, and quality products. Much of what Link’s Country Meats offers is locally sourced, helping support area farmers, agricultural families, and other small businesses throughout the region.
The Link family says community support means everything to them. From family dinners and holiday gatherings to cookouts and celebrations, they take pride in knowing their products are part of important moments shared around the table.
Support for the community also extends beyond the store itself. Link’s Country Meats regularly supports local fundraisers, youth organizations, agricultural programs, and county fairs throughout surrounding communities.
Growth at the business continues as well. Due to increasing demand and continued community support, expansion projects are currently underway to help meet the needs of the growing operation. Recent improvements have included upgraded electrical service, a new electrical room, and a truck and customer load-out dock. Additional remodeling is now taking place, including the addition of a new cooler and large freezer space west of the plant.
Today, the next generation of the Link family continues carrying on the tradition alongside a dedicated team of employees committed to quality, customer service, and community involvement.
Customer Appreciation Day is open to the public and serves as the family’s way of thanking the community for decades of support.
Following the event, Link’s Country Meats will be closed June 1-6 to allow employees time with their families before the busy summer season begins. The business will reopen June 8.
