BUCYRUS—An investigation that started last fall resulted in a former Galion man’s indictment in Crawford County Common Pleas Court.

Chad Myers, 37, currently residing in Mt. Gilead, is a former resident of Galion.

According to the January Grand Jury indictment, Myers has allegedly victimized several juveniles over many years. Some victims no longer live in the area, and that lengthened the investigation conducted by Crawford County Prosecutor Matt Crall.

Myers is charged with 66 counts of pandering sexually-oriented material involving a minor, each a second-degree felony punishable with up to 11 years in prison on each count and 36 counts of unlawful sexual conduct with a minor, each a third-degree felony punishable with up to 36 months in prison on each count.

According to Crall, the 19 victims were living in Crawford County. Myers allegedly photographed himself having sex or engaged in some sexual activities with the victims.

Although Myers was in court in the fall, he was not indicted until January, when prosecutors accumulated all the charges they sought.

Myers is free on a $750,000.00 bond. He is represented by attorney Benjamin Kitzler.
