BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW) – Local college students wrapped up their summer experience at First Federal Community Bank by sharing insights on teamwork, professional growth, and local career opportunities during a recent segment on “Community Spotlight.”
Hosted by Randy Bigley and guest-interviewed by intern Wyatt Spiegel, the panel featured area native interns Elizabeth Krebs, Lane Rike, and Nick McMullen.
Krebs, a Buckeye Central High School graduate studying finance and accounting at Bowling Green State University, highlighted the collaborative culture across both the teller and accounting divisions. Rike, a Colonel Crawford High School graduate also attending BGSU, returned for his second summer in business analytics, noting the value of learning behind-the-scenes bank operations.
McMullen, a Galion High School graduate attending Otterbein University for math and actuarial science, applied his analytical skills in credit operations by writing Excel macros to automate data processes for bank staff.
First Federal representative Kate Volk shared praise from bank managers, citing the interns’ initiative, adaptability, and positive impact on daily operations before they return to campus this fall.
