BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Absentee ballots have officially arrived at the Crawford County Board of Elections for the upcoming Primary and Special Election scheduled for Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
Registered voters can now cast their ballots in person at the Board of Elections office. Because this is a primary election, voters must declare a political party affiliation—Democrat, Republican, or Libertarian—to receive a partisan ballot. An “Issues Only” ballot is available for residents in specific jurisdictions, including Galion 1A, Galion 4A, Jefferson, Liberty, and Polk Townships, and the Wynford Local School District.
In-person voting hours are as follows:
- 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Tuesday, April 7, 2026, through Friday, April 10, 2026
- 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday, April 13, 2026, through Friday, April 17, 2026
- 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday, April 20, 2026, through Friday, April 24, 2026
- 7:30 A.M. to 7:30 P.M., Monday, April 27, 2026
- 7:30 A.M. to 8:30 P.M., Tuesday, April 28, 2026
- 7:30 A.M. to 7:30 P.M., Wednesday April 29, 2026, through Friday, May 1, 2026
- 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M., Saturday, May 2, 2026
- 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Sunday, May 3, 2026
The deadline for in-person absentee voting is Sunday, May 3, at 5:00 p.m.
Voters wishing to vote by mail must submit their applications by April 28 at 8:30 p.m. Completed mail-in ballots must be received by the Board of Elections office no later than 7:30 p.m. on election night to be counted.
