BUCYRUS — The Bucyrus Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 68 is gearing up for a Night of Worship and Celebration of Recovery on Feb. 15.

The group sponsors an annual concert and this year the headliner is Under the Blood, a group featuring Bucyrus Police Lt. Tom Walker.

“I sing vocals and play guitar along with Ben Johnson. Dave Britton plays bass and sings vocals and Barry Hensley is on drums and vocals. Glen Montis is our lead singer and also plays guitar,” Walker said of his Christian rock band.

The band, Lap 7 Breakthru, will be the opening act for the evening that begins at 5 p.m. and lasts until around 8 p.m. in the Crawford County Fairgrounds Youth Building.

There is a $5 cover charge at the door and beverages and sandwiches will be available for purchase. The event is being produced by Sharp Productions and will include information on drug addiction and recovery.

“Santana Stamper of Operation Hope will be on hand to provide information about the program designed to help people who are addicted and want to enter recovery,” Walker said.

The event is open to the public and doors open at 4:30 p.m.

“We are pumped about this event. We want to celebrate the milestones we have reached in overcoming the addiction problem in our city. We are not all the way there, but we have made amazing progress,” Walker said. “Mark your calendars for Saturday, Feb. 15.”
