BUCYRUS – Due to the Emergency Proclamation by Bucyrus Mayor Jeff Reser. The Bucyrus City Council have moved their meeting outside on the steps of City Hall Tuesday night at 7 pm, despite the winter weather we are forecasted to have Tuesday. On the agenda for the meeting after roll call is taken is to vote to either amend or terminate the Mayor’s emergency proclamation that was issued on November 20 closing Bucyrus City Hall to the public.  If the proclamation is terminated, the council will most likely move the meeting inside to council chambers. If the proclamation is not terminated it is expected that the meeting will continue out in the cold.

Council President Kurt Fankhauser has been opposed to the emergency proclamation and in a letter to the mayor, he expressed that he knows of three more council members that will not attend virtual council meetings, but he will not give out the names of those opposed to it.

If you think the emergency proclamation should stay in effect and you want to express your concerns you can email or call your council representative.
