BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford County Community Concert Association is set to host a memorable musical event on Thursday, April 11, 2024. The show will feature “Six Miles To Nellie,” with lead singer Courtney DeCosky transforming into the legendary Patsy Cline for an evening of timeless country music.
Backed by the Nellie band and special guests, DeCosky will share Cline’s memories of the songs she recorded and their connections to family and life. With special host “Cousin Minnie Pearl,” this step back in time promises to be a delightful tribute to Cline’s memorable legacy.
The evening’s repertoire will include timeless standards such as “Walkin’ After Midnight,” “Sweet Dreams of Mine,” “Crazy,” “I Fall To Pieces,” and “She’s Got You,” among others.
Jeff Williams, the lead guitarist and mandolin player, draws his inspiration for creating music from his life experiences and exposure to an eclectic range of musical styles. Williams, who is also DeCosky’s husband, is part of the original “Six Miles To Nellie” band organized in Knox County.
The band also includes Michael Wolfe (bass), Brad Oviatt (fiddle), Stevie Eyer (keyboard), Terry Martin (steel guitar), Les Harmeyer (drums), and Bucyrus native John Schnabel on rhythm acoustic guitar and banjo.
The show will take place at 7:00 PM at the Bucyrus Elementary School Auditorium, 245 Woodlawn Ave., Bucyrus. Doors open at 6:30 PM. Tickets are available at $35, $25 & $20, with additional discounts for students 18 and under.
