BUCYRUS — Bucyrus and other area residents will be trading one shopping option for a new one during the upcoming summer.
According to a member of the Stage Stores media team, the Peebles in Bucyrus will be converting into a Gordmans in the next summer.
Stage Stores operates Peebles, Gordmans, Palais Royal, Bealls, Goody’s and Stage stores.
“Stage Stores is converting the Bucyrus Peebles location to a Gordmans this summer,” Stage Stores Spokesperson Jenny Clifton said. “Peebles and Gordmans are part of Stage Stores. Stage Stores is opening 38 Gordmans stores across the country this March, and opening an additional 36 stores this summer, and Bucyrus is one of the summer location openings.”

The same change is scheduled for the Peebles in Tiffin as well.
According to the Gordmans store locator website, there currently are no Gordmans in Ohio.
Clifton said the chain is growing into the Buckeye State due to its long-term, and expected continued, success.
“Stage Stores’ Gordmans retail chain is growing in response to consumers enjoying its off-price offerings, which means bigger deals and smaller prices on a wide array of apparel and home décor items,” Clifton said. “Gordmans, which has been delighting shoppers for more than 100 years, has fresh new merchandise deliveries arriving weekly; there will always be something new to discover when it comes to popular name brand apparel, home décor, footwear, gifts, accessories, fragrances and more for the whole family. The exact date of the change is unknown, but the Stage Stores media relations department advised additional information will be given when it is available.
More information on Gordmans may be found on the store’s website.
