Avanelle E. McDaniels, 86, of Crestline, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at her home.
Avanelle was born in Haldeman, KY on February 18, 1931 to the late Reese and Virdie (Kissinger) Walsh. She married Luther C. McDaniels on January 11, 1949 and he preceded her in death on January 6, 1997.
Avanelle was a very religious person, loved her bible, and was always praying for anyone in need. She enjoyed her flowers, watching QVC and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She is survived by her children; Karen Martin, Grayson, KY, Donald McDaniels, Marion, Ronald L. McDaniels, Marion, Kathy and (Jim) Pitchford, Marion, Luther Carl McDaniels, Jr., Marion, her twelve grandchildren; Doug Armstrong, Bruce Kemplin, Jessica Wallace, Andrea Thacker, Sarah Wallace, Fred Kuba, Cody Kuba, Kelly McDaniels, Josh McDaniels, Sally Kemplin, Bryan McDaniels, Chad McDaniels, fifteen great-grandchildren, her adopted son, Greg Phillips, Crestline, and her life-long friend, Ruby Engler, Iberia.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Roger McDaniels, her daughter, Brenda Kuba, her grandson, Andrew McDaniels, her granddaughter, Amanda Kuba, her companion of several years, John Phillips, her brothers, Earl and Arnold, and her sisters, Greta, Christine, Madeline and Juanita.
Friends may call from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the Schneider-Gompf Funeral Home, 223 West Main St. Crestline, with Pastor Rick Cox officiating. Burial will follow in Iberia Cemetery.
