George F. Boyle, Jr. 76, of Galion passed away at the Galion Hospital emergency room Thursday, September 21, 2017 after a sudden illness.

He was born March 1, 1941 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and was the son of the late George F. Boyle, Sr. and Ruth (Gangware) Boyle. George is survived by his wife of 54 years, Linda L. (Waldrop) Boyle whom he married on August 25, 1963.

He was a 1959 graduate of Richland High School in Pennsylvania and worked over 35 years as an Industrial Engineer at the former North Electric/ITT and retired from P.E.C.O. George was a member of Grace Point Church in Galion and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and yardwork. He was a loving grandfather who simply adored his granddaughters.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Deborah L. (Jeffery) Wyatt of Newark; son George F., III (Catherine) Boyle of Morgantown, West Virginia; granddaughters Brianna Wyatt of Pasadena, California, Alissa Wyatt of Newark, Katelyn Boyle and Alexandria Boyle both of Morgantown, West Virginia and two sisters Betty Williams of Elmira, New York and Marjorie (Ray) Istenes of Allison Park, Pennsylvania.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Richardson Davis Chapel of Snyder Funeral Homes, 218 South Market St., Galion, Ohio 44833 and one hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service on Monday, September 25 with Rev. Paul Walter officiating. Burial will be in Iberia Cemetery.
