Larry W. Olson III, 71, Mansfield, died Thursday, September 7, 2017 at his home.
Larry was born in Mansfield, on July 4, 1946 to the late Lawrence and Ann (Marion) Olson II. He married Gloria L. Sqrow-Olson on June, 5, 1977 in and she survives him.
He was employed as a Supervisor at General Motors, Ontario for over 40 years, retiring in 2009. Larry was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #859, Crestline. He proudly served in the US Marines during the Vietnam Era. Larry loved to golf at Valley View Golf Course, Galion.
He is also survived by his children, Tammi Gibson and Chris Olson, two granddaughters, 5 great-grandchildren; step-children, Diana (Paul) Slone, Thomas Sqrow and (Lisa Bandagski), and Eric (Jody) Sqrow, 5 step-grandchildren and 7 step-great-grandchildren. Larry’s true passion at the end was his two step-great-grandchildren, Ashtyn and Lucas.
Private family services for Larry will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, Crestline at a later date.
