Jim L. Scott, 62, of Galion passed away Saturday afternoon, July 29, 2017 at the Ohio State Medical Center in Columbus.

He was born  in Smithville, Missouri and was the son of Eugene P. and Gertrude (Wilson) Scott. Jim is survived by his wife of 44 years, Marie E. (Berberick) Scott whom he married on October 21, 1972.

He was a 1972 graduate of Colonel Crawford High School and worked as an over the road truck driver for 32 years. Jim enjoyed woodworking, working on cars and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-granddaughter.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Brandie Constantino of Salem; son David (Courtney) Scott of Bremerton, Washington; grandchildren Austin (Kristen McCleese) Scott, Abby Robinson, Aaron Constantino and Kensi Scott; great-granddaughter Ashland Scott and three brothers David Scott of Iowa, John Scott of Arizona and Thomas Zarcone of Willard.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Michelle Scott.

There will be a Celebration of Life at the family’s home, 429 Beechwood Drive Galion, Ohio on Sunday, August 6, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson Township Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
