Over the past two days, four individuals in Crawford County Common Pleas Court were sentenced to serve time in prison.

Thirty-three-year-old Ryan Mason, of Youngstown, was found to have violated his probation. Mason was on probation for two fifth-degree felonies telecommunications fraud and possession of drugs. Mason was previously sentenced with twenty-four months in prison, driver’s license suspension, and a $1,250 drug fine. However, after some time served, Mason was granted judicial release.

Monday afternoon Mason admitted to said violation of probation. Judge Leuthold therefore, sentenced Mason with twelve months in prison on count one, telecommunications fraud, and twelve months in prison on count two, possession of drugs.

The prison counts are to be served consecutively, for a total of twenty-four months in prison with jail time credit since judicial release. Once completed with his prison term, Mason is subject to three years of optional post release control.

Mindy Prosser, a twenty-five-year old resident of Columbus, was found to have violated Community Control. Due to the found probation violation, Judge Leuthold ordered Prosser to twelve months in prison with jail-time credit on count of felony five possession of drugs.

Leuthold also gave Prosser a period of optional post-release control of three years upon completion of her prison sentence.

Thirty-one-year-old Jessica Short, of Galion, pleaded guilty to burglary, a felony of the fourth degree. Short was sentenced with ten months in prison with credit for jail-time served. When Short completes her prison sentence, she is subject to three years of optional post release control.

 Christopher Grandstaff, a thirty-year-old resident of Mt. Gilead, admitted to the allegations of violating Community Control. Grandstaff was then found to be a probation violator and was sentenced to nine months in prison with jail-time credit on count of burglary, a fourth degree felony. Upon completion of his prison sentence, Grandstaff is subject to three years of optional post release control.
