Rehearsals begin Nov. 4, for the 2013 Galion Community Chorus and Orchestra presentation of Handel’s Messiah. Anyone interested in singing is urged to attend this first rehearsal. Rehearsals continue on Nov. 11, 18, and Dec.2, culminating with dress rehearsal on Saturday December 7 for the Sunday, December 8 production.

The Messiah will be presented Sunday December 8, at 3:00 PM, at The First United Church of Christ, 248 Harding Way West, Galion.

The chorus and orchestra are directed by John Sikora, Ashland, assisted by rehearsal accompanist and harpsichordist, Patty Neff, Bucyrus.

All individuals from Crawford and surrounding counties are welcome to participate in this excellent production.

A $500 scholarship will be awarded to one or more high school student participants who complete a scholarship application and participate in this year’s production.

Books will be available to use or purchase if you do not have one. A minimal registration fee is requested but is waved for student participants.
