Due to concerns of inclement weather the City of Galion will not open the Taylor Road composting facility on March 17 and 18 as planned. We apologize for any inconvenience. The first time the facility will open this year is April 21 and 22. The full 2017 schedule is below.
April 21 and 22
May 19 and 20
June 16 and 17
July 21 and 22
August 18 and 19
September 15 and 16
October 20 and 21
November 17 and 18
Taylor Road will be open on these dates from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Yard waste, including limbs, brush, grass clippings and leaves, will be accepted free of charge to City of Galion and Polk Township residents. Chemically treated wood, such as deck material and railroad ties, stones and concrete are not accepted.
Mulched material is also available free of charge to residents and will be provided, when available, during the open hours of the facility.
