Press release

The Bucyrus Little Theatre is pleased to present Grease, opening June 3.

Here is Rydell High’s senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding “Burger Palace Boys” and the gum-snapping, hip-shaking “Pink Ladies” in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head “greaser” Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy try to relive the high romance of their “Summer Nights” as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through such songs as Greased Lightnin’ and Alone at the Drive-In Movie.

Directed by Jason Chandler with assistance from Alexa Franklin, Grease will take the stage on the following dates:

  • Friday, June 3 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 4 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 5 at 2:30 p.m.
  • Friday, June 10 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 11 at 7:30 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 12 at 2:30 p.m.

The show will be presented at the Bucyrus Little Theatre, 130 Songer Avenue. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students. The Box Office is open Monday through Thursday, 7-9 p.m. until the conclusion of the show (419-562-0731).

Grease is written by Warren Casey and Jim Jacobs and is produced in cooperation with Samuel French.
