The Wynford Royals won an outright N10 baseball title last evening behind a strong pitching performance from Qyenton Stone in a 6-0 win over Bucyrus. The Royals finish the regular season with a 13-3 league record and 17-5 overall.

Stone pitched a two-hitter, allowing only three base runners with six strikeouts, retiring 16 in a row between the 2nd and 7th innings.

The Royals scored the only run of the game they would need in their first at bat with Trey Stone leading off the game with a single, he moved to second on a wild pitch and came home on Alex Crall’s double. Wynford added a single run in the second, scored twice in the third and two more times in the sixth.

Bucyrus finishes the regular season with a record of 11-13 and 6-9 in the league.

Both teams will be playing tournament games this week. Bucyrus travels to Clear Fork on Thursday while Wynford hosts Plymouth on Wednesday.
