BUCYRUS, (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The City of Bucyrus Service Garage is addressing resident concerns regarding upcoming changes to the city’s solid waste collection system, which includes new trucks and trash containers.
In a statement released to the community, the City of Bucyrus Service Garage acknowledged growing frustration among residents and clarified that the decision to overhaul the collection system was made outside of the Service Garage department. City crews are currently working to distribute the new trash containers while maintaining regular daily operations and adapting to new route procedures alongside the public. Mayor Truka noted that an informational mailer will soon be sent to Bucyrus households to answer common questions, and asked residents for patience as the department works through the transition.
