Two months in prison was enough for Amber Griefenstine, and she assured Judge Sean Leuthold that she would follow through on her community control.
Leuthold granted the Crestline woman judicial release in Crawford County Common Pleas Court Monday afternoon and ordered her to be placed in the court’s Intensive Supervision and Treatment program as she begins her five years on community control. She must also pay $1,442.59 in restitution to the victim in the original case, an amount that had yet to receive any payments, noted assistant prosecutor Ryan Hoovler.
“I’ve given you one last chance here,” Leuthold said. “Excuses are over. Once you’re in this program, it’s success or failure.”
Griefenstine was sentenced to nine months in prison in December after violating her probation by failing to report to office visits and testing positive for Oxycodone.

Leuthold set bond at $50,000 after hearing allegations that Dakota Commodore threatened a person, caused physical damage to property, and failed to keep his supervising officer advised of his residence while on community control.
Commodore attempted to explain the circumstances that may have led to his parole office believing that he changed his residence, but Leuthold said it was in Commodore’s best interest to have a lawyer involved in the proceedings. Hoovler added that Commodore had a problem with following orders, especially since a warrant was issued for his arrest after he fled upon being granted diversion.
Leuthold appointed Geoffrey Stoll as counsel. Commodore, who is also facing a domestic violence charge in Crawford County Municipal Court, could be sentenced up to 18 months in prison.

Leuthold issued warrants for three people who failed to appear for their diversion revocation hearings. The warrants were issued for Regina Moore, Michael Banks, and Jacari Davison.
