SHELBY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—Pioneer Career Technology Center is preparing to launch the 2026–2027 school year with expanded facilities and new career opportunities for area students.

Junior students return on August 19 for orientation, followed by the full student body on August 20. Highlighting the upcoming school year is the grand opening of a new Electrical Trades lab, made possible by a state facility renovation grant. The high-demand program aims to address regional workforce shortages by providing direct pathways into union apprenticeships and local trade careers. Pioneer is also celebrating a 100% NCLEX pass rate for its adult education Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program as it explores future expansion into LPN-to-RN bridge coursework.
