CRAWFORD COUNTY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Crawford Soil and Water Conservation District will hold its 81st Annual Meeting Wednesday, Aug. 26, at The Pickwick Place, 1875 N. Sandusky Ave., Bucyrus.
Featured speaker Dr. Jana Houser, Ph.D., of The Ohio State University’s Department of Geography, will discuss her research into tornadoes and the supercell thunderstorms that produce them. Her work examines storm rotation, tornado formation, and how terrain and land cover can influence tornado paths and intensity.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m., with dinner at 6:30 p.m. Dinner tickets are $16 and must be reserved by Aug. 17.
The evening also includes the SWCD Supervisor Election and Conservation Slide Show.
