MANSFIELD, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—The Mid-Ohio Educational Service Center (MOESC) Board of Governors approved an administrative contract for Jeremy Secrist to serve as the organization’s Director of Grants & Special Projects during a special meeting on Monday, July 20, 2026. Mr. Secrist joins Mid-Ohio ESC after serving as Superintendent of Lexington Local Schools, bringing nearly two decades of educational leadership experience.
In his new role, Secrist will provide leadership for Mid-Ohio ESC’s Community School sponsorship program, overseeing compliance, accountability, school support and partnerships with sponsored community schools. He will also support the educational programs at Abraxas and F.I.R.S.T. School, the ESC’s Private Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) programs, ensuring high-quality educational services for students while maintaining compliance with state and federal requirements.
“Jeremy’s experience as a superintendent and educational leader will strengthen our ability to support Community Schools and our specialized educational programs,” said Kevin Kimmel, Superintendent of Mid-Ohio ESC. “We are excited to welcome him to our leadership team as we continue expanding services that benefit students and school districts across our region.”
Secrist’s appointment is part of Mid-Ohio ESC’s ongoing organizational efforts to strengthen leadership capacity and enhance services for schools and students throughout the region.
