Concerns over the noise of a citizen’s bird were finally heard in New Washington. The New Washington Village Council had moved its last meeting of August back by two days in order for residents to voice their concerns about the birds and the recent tar and chip process done on Jeffrey Drive.
Some residents complained about the noise macaws, a domestic bird that looks much like a parrot, were making at a person’s residence. The Council took the complaints under advisement and Mayor Ben Lash said the situation got better when the owners were able to speak during the meeting.
Other residents also expressed concern over the chip and sealing project that was done on Jeffrey Road, stating that the work was kind of rough. The Council also took those complaints under advisement.
It was also announced during the meeting that the library will be changing exit lights in the Village.
