CRAWFORD COUNTY, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)—In a statement from the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the Holmes Township Fire Department, details emerged regarding an accident early Thursday morning.

Just before 1:30 a.m., emergency teams assisted the Wyandot East Fire and Rescue at the scene of an injury crash on U.S. 30.

The incident involved two semi-trucks, one of which ended up overturned at the intersection of County Line Road. One of the drivers sustained injuries and was taken to Avita Bucyrus Hospital by the Bucyrus Fire Department.

The response teams expressed gratitude to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Office and the Ohio Department of Transportation for their efficient operations at the crash site.

Notably, the truck that tipped over was carrying bottles of water—resulting in a hazardous spread of water across the road, which created icy conditions. Meanwhile, the other truck was transporting frozen pizzas.

The crash was the fifth run since Monday for a very busy Holmes Township Volunteer Fire Department.
