BUCYRUS, OH (CRAWFORD COUNTY NOW)–The Trillium Event Center in Bucyrus is bustling today as the Ohio National Guard, in partnership with the Ohio Department of Health and local agencies, kicked off GuardCare 2025. On day one of this two-day event, Ohio residents are receiving a wide array of no-cost health services. The free clinic, which is open to all Ohioans with no income or insurance requirements, offered medical screenings, sports physicals, dental exams, vision exams, mammograms, and a variety of immunizations.

GuardCare is a yearly event that provides free healthcare to medically underserved communities while also giving Ohio National Guard medical personnel valuable real-world training. Today’s event also featured a resource fair with information on addiction care, Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD), WIC, and other essential community services. The clinic will continue tomorrow, Sunday, August 10, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
